Inflammatory processes affect collagen – the main component of connective tissue. Therefore, rheumatoid arthritis can affect the sclera and cornea, which are primarily composed of collagen. This can be manifested, for example, due to the so-called dry eye syndrome. It can be indicated by the following signs:
- dry eyes;
- blurry vision;
- feeling as if there is a foreign body in the eye.

As for rheumatoid arthritis itself, as doctors say, such health problems usually begin at the age of 40-50. Moreover, women are three times more prone to this disease. Early diagnosis can prevent the development of painful symptoms.
