Doctors explained what emotions provoke a heart attack

Hostile behavior has a negative effect, first of all, on the person himself and his health. The level of adrenaline in the blood increases, blood clotting time and cardiac reactivity increase.

People prone to sarcasm and cynicism are at risk of having a heart attack if not will change their behavior.

During the study, scientists observed the behavior of 2,300 volunteers who had a heart attack. Patients who demonstrated such negative qualities as hostility to others, cynicism, sarcasm and impatience were at risk of having a second heart attack in the next two years. This happens because negative emotions “press” on the heart.

A team from the University of Tennessee (USA) monitored the behavior of patients for two years. In hostile volunteers, there was an increase in the level of cholesterol, adrenaline and increased cardiac reactivity. Hostility, according to the researchers, is precisely a character trait, and entails offensiveness and irritability.
