A practicing gastroenterologist from New York University spoke about some nutritional principles that will help maintain stomach health and avoid digestive problems in the future. Lisa Genji explained that some foods should not be consumed on an empty stomach.
Such spicy and generously spiced foods should not be used as a first course, as this can cause heartburn.
According to dietitian-nutritionist Tamara Melton from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Atlanta, fruits do not give a quick feeling of satiety. The sugar contained in them enters the blood more slowly due to the large amount of vegetable fiber, so there is a risk of eating more than the required norm. The expert advises adding fermented milk products or nuts to such a snack, which will contribute to the feeling of satiety.
