The eyes are the most important human organ. Without vision, it is impossible to navigate in space. But, unfortunately, many people put vision problems on the back burner and do not notice where they started. Over time, this can lead to blindness.
For example, not wearing sunglasses increases the risk of developing serious diseases such as cataracts or macular degeneration – this is the conclusion reached by scientists from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Even a short stay in the sun without glasses can lead to eye burns.
Another cause of vision problems is often the habit of rubbing the eyes. It often leads to weakening of the cornea or deformation of the eyelids.
The lack of fruits and vegetables in the diet also causes negative effects, including impaired vision. Numerous studies by ophthalmologists emphasize the direct connection between the use of vitamins C and E, as well as fatty acids, and good vision. In addition, the spread of smartphones and the habit of often spending time at the computer create additional strain on the eyes.
