Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis are often associated with the joints, but if the disease is just developing in the body, it can send signals that allow it to be detected in time and stopped with treatment. First of all, it is worth paying attention to the condition of the skin.
According to the employees of the non-profit organization Arthritis Foundation, the reason for a visit to the doctor should be the appearance of a red rash on the skin. It can be a consequence of an abnormality of blood vessels (vasculitis) provoked by inflammation. If measures are not taken in time, along with the rash, skin ulcers appear, affecting mainly the legs or the space under the nails.
Doctors in this case, in addition to prescribing medical preparations, adjust the patient's diet, making it similar to of the Mediterranean diet, when the predominant products are vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, grains, cereals and fish. Physical activity, preferably water exercises, are also recommended.
The main symptoms of arthritis are pain, swelling, and stiffness. Swelling and redness appear in the area of the affected joint, and the body temperature rises.
