As Express reports, one of the simplest ways to help cope with high blood pressure is regular tea consumption. This drink contains flavonoids, which have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system.
Scientists decided to find out which type of tea is more effective in the fight against hypertension. A generalization of the results of several studies conducted in different countries showed that green tea, on average, helps a little better with high blood pressure.
It is noted that green tea can lower systolic blood pressure by 2.1 mm Hg. Art., and diastolic – by 1.7 mm Hg. black tea gives about a third less beneficial effect, but also helps to fight hypertension.
British doctors to fight hypertension advise to combine proper nutrition with exercise. Aerobics, stretching exercises and even lifting heavy objects help to control pressure.
