Doctors named the most “alarming symptoms” of high blood pressure
Hypertension is considered one of the most common and dangerous diseases in the world. Due to the fact that the condition usually does not manifest itself in any way, many people do not even know that they are exposed to a mortal risk.
Blood pressure is recorded using two indicators – systolic and diastolic. According to the NHS, systolic (top) pressure is the force with which the heart pumps blood around the body. Diastolic pressure (lower) is resistance to blood flow in blood vessels.
The ideal blood pressure is considered to be from 90/60 to 120/80 mm Hg. However, if this value is at the level of 140/90 mm Hg. Art., then we are talking about hypertension, writes Express.
Researchers warn that high blood pressure is usually accompanied by “the presence of acute damage to the target organ.” As a result, a person may experience a “wave of distressing symptoms,” such as shortness of breath.
Other symptoms of hypertension include severe chest pain, headache, nausea, anxiety, and seizures. In case of any such signs, doctors urge to seek medical help immediately.
