Doctors named the most dangerous drink for the brain

Beer increases the risk of the most severe stroke by 73%. This is the conclusion reached by scientists from Canada.

Canadian researchers found that drinking beer increases the risk of hemorrhagic stroke by 73%. Acute disorders of cerebral circulation are divided into two types. The first is an ischemic stroke, which is provoked by blood clots in the blood vessels of the brain.

In the first few hours after the onset of symptoms, a person can be saved if this blood clot is removed and blood flow is restored. In this case, the consequences of a stroke will be minimal. A hemorrhagic stroke is a rupture of a blood vessel in the brain, and it is much more difficult to eliminate the hemorrhage.

It is after hemorrhagic strokes that people face severe and permanent disability in the form of paralysis, intellectual impairment, etc. Hemorrhagic stroke most often leads to death. And now it has been established that beer greatly increases the likelihood of this type of stroke. For this, it is enough to consume only 5 portions of this alcoholic drink per month.

At the same time, the risk of ischemic stroke increased by 21% with such an increase in beer. But wine, as the study showed, did not affect the health of the brain, but this does not make it a safe alcoholic drink.
