Foods with high salt, according to doctors, has the most destructive effect on the condition of blood vessels and the heart.
Not only obvious salting, but also everyday foods, in which a lot of salt is often hidden, doctors called the most dangerous type of food for blood vessels and the heart , reports En Son Haber (Turkey). Referring to WHO data, doctors state that modern people abuse salt – the amount of seasoning eaten daily varies on average at 8-12 grams.
Experts remind that salt causes the body to retain water. Excess fluid, in turn, contributes to increased pressure and overloading of the heart – all this increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Calling for stricter control over the amount of salt eaten, doctors emphasize:
” Salt is found in most of the foods we eat every day, including bread, sausages, cheeses, desserts, semi-finished products, and ready meals. At some levels, salt is simply over the top. First of all, from ready-made sauces.
“Two teaspoons of soy sauce contain approximately one gram of salt. The same amount of salt is contained in one sausage, three olives, two slices of ham, a muffin, 30-40 grams of cheese, 60 grams of chips or crackers.”
If you reduce the amount of salt in your diet to 5 grams, you can significantly reduce your susceptibility to cardiovascular diseases, experts postulate.
