Honey is considered a useful product because it contains many vitamins and trace elements.
Honey can cause discomfort in the stomach, abuse of the product threatens the appearance of painful sensations and diarrhea. It is optimal to eat no more than two tablespoons per day. It also happens that bees collect toxic honey, for example, when pollen is given to them by poisonous plants delphinium and rhododendron.
It is recommended to refrain from using the product for those who have problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Honey is also able to provoke the development of allergic reactions, which is especially relevant for those who already painfully react to pollen. The most pronounced negative effect is observed when late-summer varieties are included in the diet.
People with allergies are better off buying honey from large producers, then there is a higher chance that the product is free of pollen residues. Among the dangerous consequences of an allergic reaction, doctors single out swelling of the larynx and anaphylactic shock.
People with hypotension should be more careful with honey, as it can lower blood pressure. With this condition, it is recommended to eat the product in the evening before going to bed.
People with high blood sugar should also use honey carefully, as it contains a lot of carbohydrates. The same applies to overweight people. Because of the product, there is a risk of gaining extra kilograms. It is not worth replacing sugar in drinks with honey, when heated above 45 degrees, all its beneficial qualities are lost.
