Don't leave dead fruit trees on the ground to prevent this from happening: four good reasons

Not all the harvest is removed from fruit trees on time. Let's be objective, but sometimes no one does it at all. Meanwhile, a large amount of carrion accumulates under the trees. Now we will not talk about the possibilities of its application in the form of fertilizer. Let's talk about what will happen if you leave it on the ground.

Reason #1

Pests and pathogens will begin to multiply rapidly in conditions of rotten fruit. Fruit flies, cherry flies, fruit eaters and other insects will flock to the carcass. The process of laying eggs will begin, which will only increase the population. The new crop for the next year will be affected by pests twice as fast. The development of fungal infections will complete the sad picture.

Reason No. 2

Pollosis can really become a source of dangerous diseases and bacteria. If the tree has not been treated, and the fruits are infected, the rotting process will stimulate the growth of bacteria. This will lead to deterioration of the condition of the fruit trees in the garden.

Reason #3

Not only apple or pear trees grow on the site. In particular, there are berry bushes, flowers, beds with vegetables, etc. If pathogens and diseases infect the soil, other plants and their root systems may suffer.

Reason #4

If you are not afraid of the prospect of an increase in rodents on the site, you can leave the carcass on the ground. Mice and rats love it. In addition, they can settle nearby.

If you have carrion, it is better to bury it near berry bushes or other plants as fertilizer. In all other cases, it must be collected and disposed of.
