With a severe headache, it is useless to take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the form of tablets. This opinion was shared by doctor Yevhen Komarovsky.
According to him, due to intense pain, spasm of blood vessels may appear, while the pill will “lie in the stomach and not be absorbed”. Komarovsky on the air of the TV channel “Ukraine” recommended using the drug in a liquid medicinal form during a headache. “For example, not a pill, but a syrup,” he explained.
Komarovsky, in addition, drew attention to the significant difference between a headache and a migraine. According to the doctor, with migraine, the pains will begin to recur episodically and have an attack-like character.
He explained that the duration of the attacks can last from four hours to three days. According to Komarovsky, with migraine pain can be accompanied by increased sensitivity to external stimuli and cause nausea.
