Eat more of these nuts to avoid nutrient deficiencies

In Western countries, the lack of calcium, potassium, fiber, and vitamin D is still a significant problem. All of these nutrients are considered essential, and there is an easy way to fill their deficiency.

The latest scientific data shows that by adding a handful of nuts to your daily diet, you can solve the problem of nutrient deficiencies and improve the quality of your diet. These conclusions were made during the analysis of information obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

Experts in a new study decided to find out how adding just one handful of walnuts a day to the diet of people who do not usually eat nuts would affect the body. It turned out that 28.35 g of such nuts significantly improved the overall health of the participants.

Some changes in eating habits will also help avoid nutrient deficiencies. For example, increasing the consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, seeds/nuts, and dairy products.

In adults, adding walnuts to the diet increases the level of potassium in the body.

A number of clinical trials have also shown that people with a diet enriched with walnuts have lower levels of total cholesterol and bad cholesterol compared to other diets.
