Some everyday activities are quite capable of replacing sports.

Many people know how important exercises are in everyday life, but it is not always possible to allocate time for sports. However, the problem is easily solved.

Specialists from the University of Sydney established in a recent study that even short, more or less random daily activities are of great importance for the health of the cardiovascular system.

Scientific experts state that “sporadic physical activity, such as climbing stairs or carrying shopping bags, can be compared with the health-enhancing effect of interval training, in which short periods of intense physical activity alternate with rest”.

According to scientists, 30 seconds to 2 minutes of intense exercise three to five times a day is enough to have a positive effect on health. The following daily activities, in turn, can replace sports.

  • Instead of the elevator, take the stairs on foot, avoid escalators in the subway, supermarkets, etc.
  • Under when walking, walk quickly to increase the heart rate.
  • When carrying shopping from the store, distribute their weight evenly between both hands, also taking care to maintain posture.
  • Using public transport, get off at two stops earlier and quickly go the rest of the way.
