“Everyone will serve”: Sentsov believes that it is necessary to prepare for war for 10 years

According to the Ukrainian director, the confrontation with Russia is difficult, serious, and most importantly, it will not end soon. It's time for Ukrainians to realize this and put some jobs on the back burner.

Ukraine must be prepared for the fact that the war will continue for another 10 years, so everyone must do everything to ensure that it ends as soon as possible. Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov voiced this opinion in an interview with Radio Liberty.

According to him, at first there were talks that the great war would last two weeks, two months or two years. As a result, the end of the confrontation never happened, so everyone “needs to stop burying their heads in the sand”.

The director is convinced that Ukrainians should understand that the war with Russia is extremely difficult and serious, and the most important thing is for a long time.

“We need to prepare for war for 10 years. If we are ready for war for 10 years, and it ends earlier, then we won and did everything right… That all men will serve, we need to do demobilization, rotations to put the country on military rails and invest money in defense and some kind of production , and not to make new asphalt or stadiums. All this can wait,” said Oleg Sentsov.

If you live in constant hope that the war is about to end, the Ukrainian director continues, then no one will learn how to plan something for the long term. Accordingly, there will only be today, which may not end well in the end.
