Great Britain Olympic Association Chief Executive Andy Anson said, that in the Olympic Village at the 2024 Games, athletes are served poor quality food, and British athletes are forced to travel to the team's training camp for food.
“At the beginning of each Games, there are usually two or three problems. This time, the biggest of them is the food in the Olympic Village, which is not adequate.
Certain foods are missing: eggs, chicken, certain carbohydrates. And also – the quality of food, athletes are served raw meat. Over the next few days they have to improve it dramatically.
Our athletes decided it would be better for them to travel and eat at our training lodge in Clichy. So we are forced to bring in another chef because the demand far exceeds our expectations.
Athletes don't just go there for lunch, they take their food with them for dinner because they don't want to go to the athlete's canteen to eat.
We are trying to give our athletes an advantage by having more food,'' Enosn told The Times.
The 2024 Olympic Games are being held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. .
