To cook you will need:

  • 1.5 kg of sugar;
  • 1.5 cups of water.

The quince is washed, pitted and cut into pieces, which are boiled in water for 10 minutes.

The resulting decoction is left to cook syrup, and the fruit itself is boiled several times for 5 minutes with a break of 4-5 hours.

The finished quince becomes almost transparent after cooking, the jam turns out to be very aromatic, with a sweet and sour taste and beautiful golden-pink color.

The jam is poured hot into sterile jars and rolled up with lids.

Cinnamon, nutmeg or cardamom will be an excellent addition to the jam.

From the fruit, quince is combined with apples, chokeberry or nuts.
