Experts have compiled the TOP 10 places most populated by bacteria

Experts have presented the TOP-10 most bacteria-infested places. As it turned out, the keyboard can collect more pathogens than the toilet.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 80% of all infectious diseases are transmitted through unwashed hands. Bacteria and viruses spread unnoticed to everyday objects, which are then touched by other people. The TOP-10 most dangerous places include: door handles, supermarket baskets, handrails in public transport, dumbbells and other equipment in the gym, keyboard and computer mouse, telephones, refrigerators, coffee makers, kitchen towels. Animals are also on the same list, especially dogs.

Against the background of the above, it is noted that regular hand washing is considered one of the most important measures to prevent diseases of various kinds, and not only if they are clearly dirty. This especially applies to returning home from school, work or travel, visiting the toilet, preparing and eating food, swaddling a child, coughing or sneezing, contact with sick people (the risk of infection is especially high in hospitals). Effective hygiene means: using soap with thorough processing of the palm and fingers for at least 30 seconds so that the foam can reach hidden areas of the skin.

“Wherever there are many people, there are pathogens, because many microbes, viruses and bacteria are in the body and can be transmitted through hands, respiratory tract, mucous membranes or shared objects. That is why hygiene is so important,” the experts concluded.
