Experts have named mistakes when washing dishes that can cause cancer. It turned out that the danger does not lie in the special liquid used by housewives.
Dishwashing detergents contain surfactants. Thanks to its hydrophilic, lipophilic, amphiphilic properties, fats begin to dissolve in water. Detergent can remain on dishes and kitchen utensils.
To check their safety, a number of experiments were conducted. They showed that a person takes up to 3 mg of the substance internally per day, but the dangerous dose is 1,000-2,000 mg.
In another work, volunteers from two weeks to four years of age specially consumed from 1,000 to 10,000 surfactants. They didn't have any health problems.
Despite this, it is important to remember the precautions: you should not soak the dishes for a long time, squeeze the liquid directly onto the plates, put the dishes that are not dry in the cupboard , which, by the way, should be in a well-ventilated place. Otherwise, a mold that releases aflatoxin will appear in it. This substance causes cancer and liver damage.
