Breakfast is often called the most important meal. Experts have told which dish will be light, useful and nutritious.
Porridge is a great way to start the day, because grains contain complex carbohydrates that will keep you feeling full for a long time. At the same time, carbohydrates contained in white bread or instant oatmeal are absorbed faster. Experts suggest eating quinoa with pumpkin for breakfast.
Quinoa
Quinoa cereal, which has become popular in Ukraine in recent years. It is usually added to dishes instead of rice, as it contains more fiber, which improves digestion. Quinoa also helps control blood sugar levels. Each serving provides approximately 10% of the daily value of protein due to its high content in this cereal.
Pumpkin
Pumpkin is rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A, necessary for maintaining healthy skin, good vision and strong teeth. In addition, pumpkin contains copper, which supports the health of blood vessels. It also has vitamin C, which boosts immunity, and potassium, which charges energy.
To prepare such a healthy porridge, you will need 2 cups of water, 3/4 cup of pumpkin puree and the same amount of raw quinoa. The dish is prepared in a saucepan or slow cooker in one minute. You can also add cinnamon and fruit to the porridge if you wish.
