Experts told which foods should not be heated in the microwave after cooking. Some dishes become dangerous for health due to this effect.
As experts note, the most pronounced negative effect after heating is observed in the case of root vegetables. This applies to carrots, cucumbers, radishes, beets, tomatoes, etc. they contain natural nitrates, which transform into nitrosamines when heated.
The latter are considered toxic for the human body. Meat should not be heated in a microwave oven, as the protein structure is disturbed in this way. Because of this, the product is more difficult to digest and can lead to stomach upset.
Dishes rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids are better heated on a regular stove. This is relevant, including for oily fish. Potatoes, after heating, face the breakdown of starch and run the risk of being deposited in a fatty layer.
