Potatoes were at the top of the list. It turns out that reheating dishes from this vegetable is not always safe for health. Experts recommend putting the cooked potatoes in the refrigerator after they have cooled down.
At the same time, the vegetable should be heated so that it is very hot. Bacteria that cause food poisoning actively multiply in potatoes at room temperature. It is also not recommended to reheat the chicken.
According to the experts of the Australian Food Safety Information Council, it is technically possible to reheat chicken meat, but it can be done at a temperature not lower than 175 degrees. Only in this case, all dangerous bacteria that appear very quickly on the surface of the chicken will be destroyed. At the same time, any chicken dish should not be stored for more than 3 days.
In addition, it is dangerous to use heated eggs. Such a conclusion was reached by specialists of the Department for Sanitary Supervision of the Quality of Food Products and Medicines. It is also not recommended to use cooked eggs that have been at room temperature for several hours. The fact is that salmonella bacteria multiply very quickly in such dishes.
Experts do not advise reheating rice. This product is dangerous due to the presence of Bacillus cereus bacteria. True, these microorganisms can be neutralized in the process of strong heating, but they form toxic spores that are resistant to high temperatures. It is strictly not recommended to leave rice at room temperature. Immediately after cooling, it should be put in the refrigerator.
It is dangerous to reheat dishes with mushrooms. Food with green leafy salads was also banned. In this case, we are talking about celery, beets and spinach. Reheating these vegetables is dangerous because carcinogenic substances are released in the process. Experts recommend using leafy foods exclusively fresh.
