Blueberry berries are tasty and sweet . Of course, many people want to grow such a culture. In terms of popularity, blueberries have overtaken black currants, although they should not be compared in terms of taste, they are different. It is better to have both bushes on the site so that there are more vitamins. It is no more difficult to grow a gooseberry than a currant. The following conditions are required for it:

Soil. Lohina grows well in loose and acidic soil. A pH of 4.8 to 5.5 is recommended. The land should be periodically loosened and weeds removed.

Watering. The norm is 2 buckets per 1 sq.m. Regular watering — 2-3 times a week. In the summer heat, blueberries need watering.

Feeding. Fertilizers are applied three times a year. The basic set of components for spring is: 30 g of nitrophoska, 20 g of potassium sulfate, 20 g of potassium salt. Fertilizers are applied before budding. The second feeding is carried out in May: 30 g of azofoska. Autumn feeding: 60 g of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers.

Pruning. The crown is formed for the first time when the bush is 2-3 years old, then when it reaches 5 years. Sanitary pruning is carried out twice a year to remove broken, weak, immature or diseased shoots.

Disease treatment. Regular treatment with fungicides will help to avoid gray rot, moniliosis and stem cancer. In general, blueberry resists diseases well.

If you follow the regularity of care, blueberry bushes will delight with their yield. Do not forget that it is recommended to cover the bushes for the winter. Especially when the winters are snowless.
