Experts told what to eat and drink with low blood pressure

High blood pressure is talked about much more often than low blood pressure. And this is quite logical: hypertension (chronically elevated blood pressure) is classified as a pathological condition that significantly increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney failure and other serious diseases. Hypotension (chronically low blood pressure) is simply a feature of the body, unpleasant sensations from which, if necessary, can be easily corrected with the help of nutrition. The experts of the Baazar publication told what to eat and drink when the pressure is low in order to improve well-being.

What was said

The most common advice that all hypotensives know is to drink more coffee. Caffeine really helps to increase pressure, tones and improves well-being. However, it is important to remember two things here. First, even if caffeine is good for helping you raise your blood pressure, you shouldn't forget about moderation. Excess caffeine threatens many unpleasant consequences for the body, so try not to drink more than 2 cups a day. Secondly, caffeine quickly becomes addictive and stops toning the body. So you shouldn't get too excited about the drink – otherwise it will stop working on you.

Among the foods important for the hypotonic diet, doctors single out fatty fish. It is worth eating it at least 3 times a week, and better more often. It not only helps to increase pressure, but also strengthens the entire body: starting from muscles and bones, ending with the brain and heart. The list of recommendations also includes starch-containing foods – it is important that the starch is stable, otherwise such nutrition will bring extra kilograms instead of health benefits.

Doctors recommend hypotensive patients daily with eat 500g of fruit and 500g of vegetables – the advice seems banal, but it helps to normalize your well-being.

Another great remedy is bitter chocolate, but you should treat it more carefully and not eat more than 30g a day.< /p>

Experts include salt and red wine as somewhat controversial, but working (when it comes to increasing blood pressure) products. Salty food copes well with hypotension: sodium binds water in the body, which increases blood volume and, as a result, increases blood pressure. Red wine is a source of antioxidants and beneficial plant acids that not only normalize blood pressure, but also support heart health and skin beauty. However, no one canceled the damage from ethyl alcohol. Therefore, both salt and red wine really help from reduced pressure, but you should not get carried away with these means.
