Experts told whether ash can harm radishes in flower beds

Every summer resident has ash in stock for feeding plants. It seems like a simple tool, but even this can sometimes cause damage. Experts and gardeners know this, so there are nuances of using ash in relation to radish.

Details

Ash is a source of potassium. Radish is known to love when it is within reach. Ash is applied before planting the plant. You can also feed with tincture when the radish is already growing. 250 g of the product is added to 1 bucket of water. When it has been infused for a day, it is poured under the root in the evening.

Now pay attention to an important point. If the soil in the area is acidic, using ash is a bad idea. It does not make any sense, because it makes the soil alkaline.

Also, ash is not recommended to be applied after the recent application of ammonium nitrate and urea. After them, the interval should be at least 4 weeks. If the recommendation is not followed, the nitrogen in the soil will be neutralized.
