Festive potato and meat casserole

Ingredients:
- potatoes – 1 kg;
- minced meat (beef or pork) – 500 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- milk – 100 ml;
- butter – 50 g;
- hard cheese – 150 g;
- salt, pepper, spices to taste.
Boil the potatoes until cooked, add butter, milk and mash them into a puree. Finely chop the onion and fry it with the minced meat, add salt, pepper and spices.
In a greased baking dish, spread half of the mashed potatoes, top with a layer of minced meat and cover with the remaining mashed potatoes.
Sprinkle the casserole with grated cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25-30 minutes. The cheese forms an appetizing golden crust, which makes this dish extremely attractive. Serve hot, cutting into portioned pieces.
