Five silent symptoms of stroke may be more devastating to the brain

A person can have a stroke without noticing it.
A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off – for example, due to a blood clot or a ruptured blood vessel. Typically, the signs of this condition are facial asymmetry, paralysis of one side of the body, loss of normal speech.
At the same time, there are less obvious, so-called “silent” symptoms of a stroke that make it invisible to others – this was reported by the Express edition, citing cardiovascular disease specialists from the Vital Heart and Vein organization. According to them, subtle signs usually characterize mini-strokes that occur in connection with ischemic lesions of the cerebral vessels. Doctors determine that such strokes can be very dangerous, because they are not taken into account and the affected people do not receive the necessary treatment. All this contributes to the development of destructive processes, severe complications and creates the prerequisites for a severe stroke, which is much more significant in its scale.
Experts have listed five “silent” symptoms of stroke:
- Sudden loss of balance.
- Temporary loss of basic muscle movements (including the bladder).
- Slight memory loss.
- Sudden changes in mood or personality.
- Problems with cognitive skills and abilities.
If you believe that you or someone close to you has had a stroke, you should consult a doctor as soon as possible, experts said.
