Itchy tongue. According to the doctor, itchy tongue and white spots can be symptoms of oral thrush – an infection that cannot be ignored and must be treated. White spots that appear on the tongue can also be a sign of other diseases, and if they do not disappear, it is important to check them with a therapist, to clarify the problem that caused them.

White tongue. Such the condition of the tongue can be caused by a pathology called lichen planus. In severe cases, it can last for several years, and therefore it is better not to delay a visit to the doctor. “A white tongue can also occur with certain medications, and a burning sensation can sometimes mean low iron levels or a B12 deficiency.

Coronated areas. Their appearance on the tongue mucosa can indicate the development of leukoplakia. The doctor advises never to ignore such a change in the state of the tongue, to consult specialists. With this disease, there is a small risk that over time it may turn into cancer of the oral cavity.
