Geraniums tend to be cranky when it comes to breeding. Suppose you have one beautiful bush, but you would like more of this beauty. The most effective method of propagation is cuttings.
How to make cuttings correctly
If you have a large bush, you can make a dozen cuttings. It is a particularly good time when geraniums are brought indoors for the winter from the street. In most cases, the plant is cut, so there will be a lot of material on the cutting.
This should be done as follows. Cuttings are cut 10-15 cm long. Remove the lower leaves from them.
Do not put them in water. Germination in water is not good. In most cases, the twigs simply rot. Florists recommend planting the cuttings immediately in the soil.
Fill glasses or other containers you need with soil for flowers with humus. There should be a drainage layer at the bottom. Do not forget about the drainage holes. You can sprinkle a little with Kornevin or another stimulator for the formation of roots. At the end, pour warm water.
