Florists told why it is necessary to leave the buds after the roses bloom until autumn

When roses finish blooming, they evoke mixed feelings. On the one hand, gratitude for the beauty that has been pleasing for a long time, on the other hand, there is a desire to take scissors and cut everything. At this point, you need to slow down. Florists explained why the buds should be left.

What to do with the buds

Don't rush, because you will harm the plant. If the buds that have bloomed start to be cut from mid-August, the plant will receive a signal to grow new shoots. During this period, such a fact is extremely unnecessary.

Florists explained that early pruning of buds will prevent the plant from accumulating strength and preparing for winter. Instead of accumulating juices and trace elements, the rose will spend its reserves on reaching new shoots.

Do not cut the buds, but simply tear off the faded petals. This will be quite enough. Pruning buds, like roses, is better in November. The plant adapts to cold temperatures and will be fully ready for winter. It is then that it will be possible to perform the trimming, and finish everything with a cover with spunbond.
