“Fish contains a lot of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are necessary for the construction of nerve cell membranes. Marine fatty fish like mackerel and salmon are better,” said the expert.

Ginsburg named eggs and egg yolks as the second most beneficial. They have a lot of phospholipids, which are necessary for the construction of cell membranes. In third place, the nutritionist ranked colored vegetables, such as carrots, pumpkins, peppers, and tomatoes. They contain betacarotene and carotenoids, which have a pronounced antioxidant effect.

Next, according to the expert, oranges and other citrus fruits follow, as they contain quercitin, which is a strong anti-inflammatory substance. It protects blood vessels and brain cells from damage. Condiments are in fifth place. Such spices as ginger, garlic, and pepper have a good effect on the brain. They protect brain cells from premature aging.
