Cancer is a disease in which infected cells begin to divide uncontrollably. This can lead to tumor formation. Almost any part of the body can be affected by cancer, so the symptoms of this disease can vary.
The earlier you detect the symptoms of cancer, the better. But if some signs can be very specific, others are easily confused with other health problems.
Experts from the University of California in San Francisco named four cancer symptoms that resemble symptoms of other diseases. It is important to take them seriously if they become chronic and last longer than two weeks.
Chronic cough. If you have a cough that lasts longer than two weeks and especially if it is dry, it may be a sign of lung cancer.
Chronic headache. This refers to a headache that does not go away for more than two weeks and is not treated with standard methods. It can indicate brain cancer.
Inevitable pain. If you have constant pain in some part of your body and medicine does not help, this is a warning sign.
Constant fatigue. A sudden change in energy levels can be a sign of lymphoma or leukemia. And this state should last for a long time.
