Definitely will not freeze
When choosing plants, you need to take into account climatic conditions: sunny days, frost, rain, etc. If your region is at risk of freezing of your chosen specimens, then you should pay attention to the following varieties of conifers:
- Canadian spruce “Konica”. Able to withstand frosts down to -40 degrees. One of the most popular among conifers.
- Pfitzer juniper. This is a hybrid variety, which makes it more resistant to low temperatures. It can withstand cold snaps down to -35 degrees.
- Giant thuja. If the temperature in your region does not drop below -25 degrees during the cold season, then you can safely plant giant thujas.
- Oberon fir. Small, compact and round, but this does not prevent the dwarf thuja from having a stable immunity to cold snaps. It can withstand temperatures down to -28 degrees.
With such coniferous plants, the garden will remain attractive in any season of the year. You don't have to worry about the plants freezing, so in the spring they will be beautiful again and will delight with their beauty.
