Four ways to improve the taste of buckwheat porridge for a side dish

Buckwheat has become a popular cereal, but let's not turn a blind eye to its specific aroma and taste. Simply boiled cereal in water has no features that would make it a culinary masterpiece. But there are several ways to improve the taste of regular buckwheat.
Roasting cereal
Pre-roasting buckwheat can improve the taste of buckwheat, making it much more pleasant. Heat the cereal in a frying pan without adding oil or butter. This will take about 2-3 minutes. Then pour in water and cook.
Butter
Everyone knows that you can't spoil porridge with butter. It's impossible to imagine a delicious side dish without it. You need to add it to the finished porridge, portioned into plates. If you want an even brighter taste, then butter can still be added at the stage of frying the cereal.
Adding salt
Cooks assure that the moment of adding salt significantly affects the taste. You don't need to put it in the water at the beginning of cooking, but at the final stage. Then the taste is brighter and more expressive.
Roasting
If you want to cook not just boiled cereal, but a full-fledged and tasty side dish, make a roast. Onions, carrots, and a clove of garlic will do their job perfectly. And if you add more meat, aromatic sausage, or mushrooms to the roast, it will not just be a side dish, but a full-fledged dish.
