Cholesterol and high blood sugar
Drinking coconut water can lower cholesterol in the blood. This is indicated by studies conducted on rats. Another study found that L-arginine in coconut water lowered blood sugar in diabetic rats.
For the kidneys
One study showed , that the consumption of coconut water helped to remove excess potassium, citrate and chlorine from the body. This, in turn, can reduce the risk of kidney stones. In addition, coconut water prevented oxidative stress in the kidneys and improved their function, scientists said.
