Among all types of nuts, they have the most favorable dietary composition, according to a study published in NLM.
Scientists analyzed the impact of pistachios on blood pressure, cholesterol levels and blood vessel health. A review found that daily consumption of these nuts lowers systolic (top) blood pressure by 1.82 mm/Hg. Art., and diastolic (Lower) by 0.8 mm/Hg. The main condition is that pistachios must be unsalted.
