Gardeners explained how to save currants from aphids

If you notice swollen red leaves on currants, this means that a head or red aphid has settled on it. And you need to fight this scourge, because it feeds on the juice of the leaves, pierces them and opens the gate to various diseases.

Details

Now is the period when currants bloom, some have even faded, so chemical means cannot be used. We will fight as a people. And one of the best is spraying, even dousing the bush with a soap-oil solution. To do this, rub 1 bar of household soap on a grater and pour 10 liters of hot water.

Crush well, add 1 glass of oil and spray the bushes with it. At the same time, you should try to prevent the solution from falling on the ground under the bush (currants do not like this), for example, cover it with an old oilcloth. Some shoots can even be soaked in a bucket of soap solution.

This solution can be used to treat currants and gooseberries at any stage of growth: before flowering, during flowering and after.
