Gastroenterologist: why you should give up sweet cereals for breakfast

A gastroenterologist explained why you shouldn't have cereals for breakfast.

According to the doctor, it is breakfast that shapes the body's food reactions for the entire next day. And cereals, if they are with sugar or fruit, raise glucose and insulin levels, which is why a person is more likely to feel hungry and want to eat sweets.

– No cereals for breakfast and no fruit. Especially not “at least cake for breakfast,” the doctor emphasized.

You need to eat protein for breakfast, otherwise “there will be no motivation, purposefulness, and so on,” she added. The doctor recommends starting the day with an omelet, pâtés, fish sandwiches, or vegetables with meat.

As previously reported, doctors have suggested a simple breakfast dish that will help balance blood sugar levels and avoid spikes during the day.

This is regular scrambled eggs – a hearty protein option. It is best to prepare an omelet or scrambled eggs with the addition of vegetables, such as tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers.

British fitness trainer Aaron Brown also advises eating proteins for breakfast: low-fat dairy products, poultry, fish, and seafood. According to him, a breakfast of eggs with any vegetables will help you lose weight.
