The end of the cucumber usually has a bitter taste. The seeds near it can also contain these bitter substances. For this purpose, the ends of the fruits should be cut off.

Collected seeds from cucumbers are in a transparent shell. You need to get rid of it so that it can be stored for a long time. This can be done as follows. The container with collected seeds should be kept for 2-3 days. The fermentation process will begin. That's when this shell will begin to break down.

Pour the jar with water. It will not only be washing, but also sorting. The seeds that float must be discarded. Pour the rest with water into a sieve. Wash the seeds thoroughly in a sieve under running water to completely wash away the cucumber residue.

Place the seeds on a plate with a cloth or on a bag. It is necessary to dry, but not in the sun. It should be dried at room temperature for 7-10 days. Then transfer to paper bags for storage.

Important: seeds show the best yield when kept in storage for 3-4 years.  During this time, they will develop properties that will depend on a greater number of female flowers and ovaries.
