Green and Garlic Flatbread: A Recipe That “Beats” Pizza

We will tell you how to prepare the dough for a fragrant garlic korzhik with herbs and aromatic herbs. By the way, you can use any ingredients for the filling.

To prepare you will need:

  • wheat flour 450 g;
  • yeast 20 g;
  • sugar 1 tsp;
  • salt 1 tsp. l;
  • water 250 ml;
  • oil 100 ml;
  • garlic 2 cloves;
  • olives, basil and parsley to taste;
  • cheese 50 g.

How to cook

The recipe is designed for cooking with pressed yeast. Dry fast-acting yeast (1 tsp) is immediately mixed with sifted flour.

Dissolve the yeast, add warm water, 2 tbsp. l. flour and sugar, mix and leave the dough for 10 minutes.

Then add the sifted flour and salt, and then knead the elastic dough. Leave it for half an hour, and during this time, prepare the dressing for the tortilla.

Mix the oil with aromatic herbs, fresh greens, and add chopped garlic and salt.

The olives and cheese should be added separately.

Do not overdo the risen dough, roll it out with a rolling pin into a tortilla to make a round shape about 1.5 cm thick.

Line a sheet with parchment, turn the tortilla over and make cuts on it (it is more convenient with a pizza knife) – transverse and longitudinal.

Apply the prepared dressing from a mixture of spices and oil. Then distribute the chopped olives and sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake the tortilla in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
