Green tea is good for men to protect against cancer and heart disease

An endocrinologist named the little-known health benefits of green tea for men.
The specialist recalled that green tea contains a high concentration of a large amount of the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate, which is an antioxidant. Under the influence of this substance, the activity of aromatase (an enzyme) that converts the male hormone testosterone into estradiol decreases.
It happens that aromatase begins to do this work too actively, contributing to an imbalance of hormones with an increased amount of the “female” hormone. Arising in the male body, such an imbalance increases the susceptibility to cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
The use of green tea improves men's protection against this adverse process, the doctor emphasized. Also, the doctor added, the tea antioxidant polyphenol-epigallocatechin gallate acts like an oncoprotector – it prevents the growth of new vessels feeding tumors, and the growth of the formations themselves.
At the same time, the doctor said, tea should not be abused, just as it should not be drunk during meals.
“Any tea, even black or green, should not be drunk with meals. Like coffee, these drinks are strong absorbents that extract many nutrients from food.”
The doctor recommended drinking tea at least an hour after eating.
