Has the government decided to remain silent? Why pensions of Ukrainians stopped “increasing”
According to the Pension Fund, the average pension has increased by UAH 358 since the beginning of the year. and is UAH 5,743.
There is very important information for all our dear and respected readers who are related to receiving pension benefits. According to the PFU, the average pension in Ukraine in 2024 will increase by UAH 358.
In his new video on the YouTube channel “On Retirement”, pension expert and journalist Serhii Korobkin told about this.
How the average pension in Ukraine grew in 2024
According to the Pension Fund, the average pension has increased by UAH 358 since the beginning of the year. and is UAH 5,743. This means that in March pensions increased by only 6.5% on average. That is, not everyone has it increased even by the promised 8%.
More than a quarter of pensioners, 27%, will receive a pension of no more than UAH 3,000. And another 63% of pensioners receive a pension of up to UAH 5,000, that is, less than the average. This means that in fact 6 million people are still below the poverty line, because the real living wage should be much higher.
In the first 3 months of the current year, the number of pensioners decreased by 360,000. Almost as much as in the last 2 years.
Pension increase from April 1 – how the government lied about it
Pensions have not increased since April 1, but the Ministry of Social Policy either deliberately lies for the sake of self-promotion, or simply does not look at what they write in their news.
Already in the second half of April, when it became clear that no one had received anything , but they submit the news and continue to write that at the beginning of April, recalculations have already taken place for more than 654 thousand pensioners who continue to work.
And then, in the same news, they add that the recalculation has been completed, but they cannot do it yet, because there is no data on the payment of insurance premiums. That is, the recalculation will be made, but the supplement will be paid later in June.
Who will receive pension supplements from the UN in May
The Pension Fund finally clarified that pensioners living in the front-line territories and receive a pension of less than UAH 3,250, the UN continues payments. The supplement has been extended for another 3 months – April, May and June.
This applies to those persons whose pension is less than UAH 3,250. That is, if someone's pension is UAH 3,000 and he lives conditionally in the Donetsk region, the amount of the temporary supplement will be UAH 250.
