When to plant

Daffodils should have time to adapt in the soil and grow roots. That is why bulbs are planted before cold weather and frost. Conventionally, this falls on the period from September to November. Considering the vagaries of nature, it is better to choose the middle of the period — October. Important points of planting:

• the bed should be sunny, and the soil should be drained;
• bulbs should be buried in moist soil;
• bulbs should be firm and large;
• should be buried in the soil by at least 10 cm;
• the distance between the holes is 12-18 cm;
• a 2 cm layer of sand is poured on the bottom of the hole.
