Healthy Nutella made from chickpeas and dates

You can make not only hummus from chickpeas, but also prepare a delicious chocolate spread, a la Nutella. On fresh bread and with a cup of coffee or tea – it’s really delicious))) You can afford it with a clear conscience during fasting and without harm to your health and figure, you can spread it on sandwiches for your child, so be sure to try it!

So we take:

  • chickpea puree 100 g
  • hazelnuts (preferably roasted) 50 g
  • cocoa powder 2 tbsp. l
  • date water 40 ml
  • dates – 50 g (can be replaced with honey, carob syrup)
  • vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

1. Soak chickpeas for 12 hours (overnight). In the morning, rinse, cover with fresh water and boil for an hour over low heat until soft, but while maintaining the texture and shape of the “nuts”.

2. Cool and puree using a blender with the addition of the water in which the hummus was cooked, maintaining a crumbly structure.

3. Soak the dates in boiling water for several hours, remove the pits, and puree them. Do not pour out the water from the dates; you can add it to the paste to bring it to the consistency you need.

4. Grind hazelnuts in a coffee grinder or blender.

5. Then combine all the ingredients and blend with a blender until smooth.

Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator!

Before serving, remove the jar of Nutella from the refrigerator and let it stand for 10-15 minutes, so it will be easier to spread on a piece of bread, loaf or toast. And don't be shy and feel free to eat with a spoon straight from the jar)))
