At the beginning of Holy Week, the temples are prepared by a consecrated peace, which is used for anointing after baptism. It is also customary to clean and prepare the home for the holiday.
Great Tuesday (April 15). On this day, Christians finish preparation for Easter, do household chores, prepare homes, outfits and holiday towels.
Great Wednesday (April 16). The believers go to the temple, where they glorify Mary Magdalen, as well as confess and read prayers with worship. At home, eggs for painting Easter eggs are prepared. This day is also known as the Day of the Sacrament of Communion, when Jesus gave the apostles bread and wine during the Last Supper. The temples serve the Twelve passionate Gospels, which mention the suffering of Christ. Believers visit the temple, communion, paint Easter eggs and bake Easter eggs at home, and buy new clothes for children.
Great (Holy) Friday (April 18). The temples carry a shroud – the image of Christ in the tomb that believers can kiss. This is the day of the harsh post, you can only eat after the shroud.
Great Saturday (April 19). The day of silence, when the believers pray and reflect on the mystery of salvation. In the morning, the shroud around the temple, and during the day, they consecrate Easter dishes – eggs and Easter eggs. At midnight, a solemn service begins, after which the great news of the Resurrection of Christ, which is completed by the Great Lent, is proclaimed. These days are forbidden:
- to break up and have fun;
- quarrel, shout or scandals;
- to perform hard physical work;
- carry out wedding ceremonies;
- refuse to help need; Lent Christians are awarding strict food restrictions. Priests recommend only plant products. Bread, vegetable oil. Believers are also advised to focus on their own health when choosing food. If the posture can be harmful, persons with certain circumstances are allowed to weaken or release from fasting, in particular, children, sick, military, elderly, women who are breastfeeding people who are engaged in hard physical labor.
