Homemade Cookies: “Cracker with Seeds” in 20 Minutes

Such a cracker with seeds, sesame, flax seeds will be a great snack or addition to cheese, wine, or even to first courses instead of bread.
It is convenient to take with you to nature, work – and anywhere. And this cracker is simply adored by children.
What is important, unlike store-bought analogues, these cookies have a “pure” and natural composition.

Yield: 2 baking sheets

Ingredients:

  • 300 g whole grain flour
  • 100 ml of oil (preferably olive)
  • 100 ml of hot water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. l. sugar (preferably cane)
  • 1/2 tbsp. l of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1.5 tbsp. l of flax seeds
  • 1.5 tbsp. l of sunflower seeds
  • 1.5 tbsp. l of sesame seeds

Preparation:

1. In a bowl, mix hot water, oil, salt and sugar, mix.

2. Add baking powder to the flour, sift.

3. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mass, mix, add the egg and knead a soft, tender dough that does not stick to your hands.

4. On parchment, roll out the dough into a thin layer of 3 mm, cut with a pizza knife into rectangles (6 cm × 8 cm) or in any shape you like. The taste of the cookies will not change. Pour the seed mixture into the center of each rectangle, walk with a rolling pin, pressing the seeds into the dough. Walk along the cuts with a knife, separating the rectangles from each other so that they do not stick together during baking.

5. Bake at 180 C for 20-25 minutes until nicely browned.
