Hot and invigorating: how coffee affects waist circumference

Visceral fat is located in dangerous proximity to the internal organs of the abdominal cavity, so its accumulation can cause serious problems. Scientists have come to the conclusion that coffee helps burn fat on the stomach within a few hours after consumption.
According to scientists, visceral fat can worsen the work of the liver, pancreas and intestines. Together with diabetes and high blood pressure, it increases the risk of heart disease.
According to the data, coffee “significantly accelerates” the metabolism and oxidation of fats. Other studies also confirm these results.
In particular, scientists from Japan evaluated the effect of regular coffee consumption on visceral fat. For 12 weeks, subjects drank coffee or a placebo drink every day. There were 125 participants in each of the two groups. At the end of the experiment, it was found that in the group receiving coffee, the amount of visceral fat and waist circumference decreased to a greater extent than in the placebo group.
