How a daily cup of coffee improves health

A cup of strong coffee starts the day of millions of people on our planet. But the benefits of this beverage extend far beyond energy.
Studies suggest that coffee drinkers are at lower risk of a range of serious disorders from type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease to certain cancers. A recently published 10-year study found that moderate coffee consumption is associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and premature death from any cause.
Although all of these benefits are mostly associated with with the use of ground or grain coffee, even lovers of instant coffee get some advantages. In addition to caffeine, all types of drinks contain minerals, and especially magnesium, which is important for healthy bones and muscle function. Also important is potassium, which plays a role in blood pressure, and vitamin B3, which is necessary for the release of energy after eating and strengthening the health of the nervous system.
Well, what about the risks? Some studies have linked coffee consumption to increased cholesterol levels. However, this may be the result of different methods of preparation of the drink. Much research has focused on the types of coffee that are popular in Scandinavia and Turkey, i.e. unfiltered and brewed. Brewed coffee contains natural oils, including cafestol and kahweol, which moderately stimulate cholesterol production. But people more often drink filtered and instant coffee, where these oils are not present.
