How chefs prepare a delicious and beautiful liver cake

Guests who try this liver cake will definitely ask for the recipe, because not everyone knows about it yet. Liver cake is an unforgettable classic of feasts, but experienced chefs have improved the recipe, making the appetizer even tastier.

Ingredients for “cakes”:

  • chicken liver – 0.5 kg;
  • buckwheat – 80 g;
  • onion – 1 onion;
  • chicken eggs – 3 pieces;
  • salt – ½ teaspoon;
  • dried garlic – ½ teaspoon;
  • ground black pepper;
  • flour – 2-3 tablespoons;
  • oil – a tablespoon.

For the filling:

  • champignons – 0.4 kg;
  • onion – one bulb;
  • salt;
  • ground black pepper;
  • cherry tomatoes (for decoration).

For the sauce:

  • dill;
  • garlic – 5 cloves;
  • sweet chili sauce – 2 tablespoons;
  • mayonnaise – 3-4 tablespoons.

Step-by-step preparation

1. Start preparing the dish by grinding the chicken liver and onion. To do this, you will need a blender or meat grinder.

2. The liver mass is mixed with eggs and spices. Also, garlic, salt and black pepper are mixed into it. Then buckwheat is added, flour is sprinkled and oil is poured in. All components are carefully mixed.

3. The “dough” is poured onto a baking sheet. It is evenly distributed over the surface and placed in an oven heated to 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes. The finished “cake” is taken out of the oven and wait for it to cool down.

4. Next, a layer is prepared: onions and mushrooms are fried until soft. In the process of cooking, the ingredients are salted and peppered.

5. Then it's time to prepare the sauce: finely chop the dill, rub the garlic, add mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce.

6. After cooling, the cake is cut into equal parts. There should be 3-4 pieces. A cake is made from them. The first cake is smeared with sauce, spread mushroom roast on it and repeat the process.

7. A sauce is applied to the top cake, and then it is decorated with cherry tomatoes and greens are laid out. Before serving, put the cake in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
