How coffee can help an orchid sprout from a single leaf
1
He told about this method a flower grower from Vietnam. It consists in the fact that any orchid can be saved if at least one leaf remains. It can be germinated, and coffee will help in this. Read the details further in the post.
How to use coffee
To do this, you need to brew coffee. Of course, it should be natural, not instant. Pour one teaspoon with a slide into 0.5 liters of boiling water. Let it brew under the lid. Let it stand until it cools.
The orchid leaf that you will germinate must be cleaned so that there are no traces of rot. Rinse and dry with a cotton swab so that there is no moisture left.
Greenhouse with water for orchid germination
Put the leaf in coffee for 30 minutes. This will help revive it, give it a boost of nutrients for germination. Coffee is very good at stimulating the orchid to form new roots. You can spray other orchids with this coffee infusion so that they also receive nutrients. The spraying regimen is once every 14 days.
Then you need to put the orchid in a greenhouse. Make a stand in it from a bottle cap. Put a cotton pad there, soak it. Install the leaf. The edges of the cotton pad should hang down. When you pour water on the bottom, the water will be absorbed by the material, but there will be no overmoistening for the orchid. Cover the greenhouse.
Place the greenhouse made of transparent glasses in a cool and bright place. In 1-2 months, the roots will grow. The plant can be transplanted into a pot with substrate.
